Maths Week 2017 with Rob Eastaway

Maths Week Ireland is in its 12th year and Alchemist Café Dublin is delighted to welcome back Rob Eastaway (@robeastaway), who spoke at our Maths Week event back in 2008. Back then he entertained us with “10 ways to win a maths bet in the pub”.

Rob Eastaway is an internationally renowned populariser of maths through books, broadcasting and presentations. He has written 18 books and is the director of Maths Inspiration. An engineering graduate from Cambridge University, while still a student Rob created puzzles for the New Scientist magazine.  He was awarded the 2016 Zeeman medal for promoting mathematics to the public by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
